A wish for things that work, For the scabs of distant past to peel
Revealing rejuvenated brightly colored feathers, Of crimson red and porcelain white
Bend your arms backward, Creating the shape of a Y
Imagine yourself somewhere far, And gracefully lift upward
Off of the ground, Into the sky
Onward to things that don't hurt, Or to scars that never fade
But blissfully out of orbit, And beyond the Earth
Toward rainbows of gently placed Stars, &nb
White RavensEveryday, with scattered shards of what would be called: FateWhite Ravens
I look to you and your hands,
which now seem unknown to me
Your face, a flicker with strands of thread-like hair
A sleep so long and unbreakable, that I cannot wake
A mirror before me and yet, I cannot see what is in front of me
Where white ravens roost, Escaping the doldrums of reality
And still I sit and stare, While moist patches of skin dry around your nose;
I guess I've been awake all this time, But it almost feels endless.

It felt cold and might as well have been Two different worlds
Your face, I could see, a resemblance Silhouetting the skylines against skyscrapers
And mountains and wavy aurora borealis; Everything calling out your name
My arms were not long enough to reach out and grab That glistening of fireflies flickering
Among my feet, across concrete, and shortly cut grass Until the sprinklers ignited down the streets
My hands were not gentle enough to hold you closer Wi
